Life Of Dillon is a self termed “acoustic house” trio from the UK that consists of David Keiffer, Joe Griffith, and Rob Griffith.  The group describes themselves as a group that makes “acoustic-laced, dance-driven pop that captures the free spirit of a globe-traveling drifter.”  The trio takes their name from a surfing Nepalese wanderer named Dillon who the trio encountered while visiting Brazil, the Griffith brother’s birthplace.

This trip to Brazil inspired the trio’s first musical recordings which they started once they came back home to London.  The trio released their debut single “Overload”, which fused not only elements of folk and house but also some pop as well.  The single was released in early 2015 through Disruptor, a division of the major label Epic.  The trio released their first EP, “Prologue”, on May 19, 2015.

This group has only just begun to release their music but based on the tracks on “Prologue” they seem like they are going to have a very bright future ahead of them.  Check out some of their biggest hits so far below and see why this “acoustic house” trio will soon be the next big thing in electro-pop/house music.

Years & Years are a British electronica trio that formed in London.  The group consists of frontman and keyboardist Olly Alexander, bassist Mikey Goldsworthy and synth player Emre Turkmen.  The groups music has been described as a blend of electropop mixed with R&B and 90’s house elements.  The band sites Flying Lotus, Diplo, Radiohead and Jai Paul as some of their main influences.

The band formed in 2010 after Goldsworthy moved to London from Ausralia and met Turkmen online.  Shortly after, Alexander joined the group as the lead vocalist after Goldsworthy heard him singing in the shower.  The groups first debut single, “I Wish I Knew” was released in July 2012 on the label Good Bait.  In 2013, the group signed to the French label Kitsune Records and released their second single “Traps” in September 2013.  The groups third single “Real” was released through Kitsune in February 2014.

In 2014, the group signed to Polydor Records and released their fourth single “Take Shelter”.  The EP reachd the No. 1 spot on the Itunes UK Singles Electronic Chart.  In December 2014, the groups fifth single “Desire” was released peaking at No. 22 on the UK singles chart.  In January 2015, the group released their sixth single “King” as a preview on BBC Radio 1 and it was selected as Zane Lowe’s hottest record of the day.  In March 2015, the single reached No. 1 on the official UK charts.

In January 2015, the group won the prestigious BBC Sound of 2015.  They were also nominated for the Critics Choice Award at the Brit Awards 2015.

The group announced their debut album “Communion” will be released on June 22, 2015 through the Polydor label.

This group is already been making a name for themselves without even having a debut album yet.  If they are winning awards just off of their singles, who knows what they will win when the finally release their debut album “Communion”.  Be sure to keep Years & Years in your music peripherals and check out “Communion” when it debuts this June.
