Glass Animals is an English indie rock band from out of Oxford.  The band consists of Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer, and Joe Seaward.  The members have been friends since they were 14 and formed the group once they finished school.  While they were still at Oxford University, they released their debut EP, “Leaflings,” in 2012.  That EP caught the attention of acclaimed producer Paul Epworth, who signed them to his label Wolf Tone in 2013.  They later re-released their EP through Wolf Tone along with the single “Black Mambo.”

In 2014, the band released their debut album, “Zaba,” which blended electronics and indie guitar.  The album was produced by both frontman Bayley and Epworth.  The single, “Gooey,” placed twelfth on Australian radio station’s Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2014.

Zaba has a very psychedelic feel to the whole thing and has been described as a mixture of electronica dream-pop with hard-hitting hip-hop basslines.  The album is very unique sounding and definitely makes Glass Animals stand out from the indie crowd.
