Here’s some new talent on the rise.  Louisa Rose Allen who is better known by her stage name, “Foxes,” has found great success with her vocal work on Zedd’s song “Clarity,” which has so far peaked at at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 1 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs.

She has released a single and an EP as “Foxes,” working with Sam Dixon, and has been working on her debut album.  Both tracks from her debut single “Youth” were featured in gossip girl.  She also worked with Fall Out Boy on the song “Just One Yesterday.”  “Youth” (including remixes from Danny Howard, Breakage, Le Youth, Nate Goldsmith and Maze & Masters) has so far gathered over a million combined Soundcloud and YouTube plays between them.  Her new single “Beauty Queen” was released on May 13, 2013.

On her website, Allen explained the origin of her stage name.  Allen’s mother had described a “haunting and beautiful” dream in which foxes ran down their street, howling.  Allen, who had been attempting to find a subtle stage name, settled on “Foxes.”  She found the name fitting because it reflected her music.  Her first song was titled “Like Foxes Do” and many of her subsequent songs were about animals.

She is a very talented singer and has a great range with her vocals.  Her music mixes pop, electronic, and a little alternative indie all together for a very interesting mix of laid back atmospheric pop and some tunes that are almost danceable.  She is totally worth a listen and I guarantee that this girl is going to be big soon.  Below are some of her biggest hits so far.
